Andrew Gardiner, 46, was last seen at about 11 am last Monday, September 7.
And concern is growing for his whereabouts.
Searches have been carried out since that day and enquiries remain ongoing to trace him.
Andrew’s last known whereabouts are in the Lanarkshire area, after his work vehicle was traced off the A706 at Heathland Forest.
Inspector Claire Walker today said: “Officers have been carrying out extensive enquiries over the past week to trace Andrew, with increasing concerns for his welfare.
“We would ask anyone with information on his whereabouts to get in touch as soon as possible. Whether you are from the Dumfries and Galloway area, or Lanarkshire, any information or possible sightings could prove vital.”
Andrew is described as being around 6ft 1 in height, with short brown hair. When reported missing, he was believed to have been wearing a navy blue polo shirt, black jeans and dark coloured boots.
Anyone with information should contact police on 101, quoting incident 2306 of 10 September.
