Parents and pupils received notification last night of a positive case, believed to be a pupil.
And as a result, many families chose not to send youngsters today and there were calls for the school to be closed for deep cleaning.
However, education bosses confirmed that all close contacts of the infected person had been traced and told to self isolate for 14 days and reassurances were given to everyone else that classes would continue as normal for the last few days of term.
