And the event went so well, the organisers have vowed to return in 2018.
Network chair Jerry Morse said: “It was an absolute pleasure to hold the Scottish Clinical Skills Network national annual conference in the stunning surroundings of Easterbrook Hall in Dumfries.
“It was a unanimous decision that conference would return to Dumfries in 2018 to coincide with the opening of the new hospital project.”
Innovation and diversity were the themes of the event and renowned key note speakers provoked discussion and encouraged further collaboration in the delivery and research of clinical skills.
University of the West of Scotland nursing staff and students were actively involved in the conference and even delivered a dementia awareness workshop to a group of local pharmacists.
