The 11-year-old triumphed at the British Schools Air Pistol Scottish Championships 2021, which were held remotely this year.
Entrants had to shoot their targets at home and send in photos to be scored.
Tara was the winner of the Scottish region with a score of 178/200 and was ranked fourth female in the UK, duly qualifying for the national finals.
And she was also part of the Lockerbie Academy junior team which took silver and go through to the nationals
