Active travel advice from Home Energy Scotland

ALTHOUGH it’s been important to stay at home during lockdown, you might need to go out and about for essential journeys and exercise.

Home Energy Scotland can help you with advice on how to travel safely locally whilst helping to improve your health, save you money and do your bit for the environment.

With the current restrictions on public transport and car sharing, active travel is a great option. This means being physically active on your journey – walking, wheeling or cycling, including the use of ebikes.

Not only will you be able to socially distance, but getting about on foot, cycle or ebike provides a number of benefits to our health and pockets.

Cycling has boomed in popularity during lockdown. If you fancy giving it a try but need a bit of extra power, why not check out an ebike?

They’re a great choice if you’d like a little extra assistance cycling up hills or are going on a longer journey. The onboard motor, powered by a rechargeable battery, is there to help you as you pedal.
