Planners to issue Whitesands takeaway decision

A BID has been lodged to turn a former car showroom at Whitesands into a restaurant and takeaway.

Applicant Adnan Manzoor is seeking permission from Dumfries and Galloway Council to convert the ground floor of 35 Whitesands, previously occupied by Klic Cars.

Planners will consider letters of objection and support regarding the development submitted to the local authority, including an objection from a hairdressers operating on the floor above the former showroom, Nelson Brown Salons, which argues its clients “would not be impressed with smells and odour coming through the walls from below”.
