Baby hurt in minibus crash

A 12 WEEK old baby girl was taken to hospital with head injuries after a minibus crash on the M74 last night.

She was rushed to Yorkhill Children’s Hospital in Glasgow and kept in overnight for observations following the smash on the southbound side at 5.25 pm.

The driver, a 33-year-old man, and the other six passengers, aged between eight and 37 and all from Milton Keynes, were taken to Dumfries and Galloway Royal Infirmary. They were all kept in overnight with a variety of minor injuries.

The road at the Greenhillstairs overbridge was closed for four hours following the crash. Police at Lockerbie want to hear from anyone who witnessed it or saw the white LDV minibus. They can be contacted via 101.
