Phamie Gow is one of the composers in contention for inclusion in this year’s Classic FM Hall of Fame, the world’s biggest poll of classical music tastes.
The top 300 works will be revealed over the Easter weekend.
And Phamie hopes to replicate the success she achieved last year, when her piece War Song made it into the Hall of Fame.
Among her works that have made it to this year’s long list is Annandale, a piece inspired by her home region that she wrote as a 16-year-old.
Phamie said she was “excited” to discover that so many of her works had made it to this year’s voting panel, and said it was “encouraging” to see more female composers in contention.
