DUMFRIES & Galloway Trades Union Council (D>UC) will be launching a springtime trade union membership recruitment campaign that will be the first of its kind in the whole of Scotland.
The launch will take place at its monthly meeting, held this month on Monday 21, and will involve a mass programme of leafletting to households where workers may be living who do not realise the benefits of belonging to a trade union. The leaflet encourages people to scan a QR code or visit a website where they can access information about how to join a union, which union to join and how to get support and advice about common problems people face at work.
