A REPLACEMENT bus service will run between Carlisle and Lockerbie on Sunay due to rail strikes.
The rail, maritime and transport (RMT) union is continuing its strike action against trains across the north and into Scotland.
This will result in more changes to services operated by TransPennine express and has caused TPE to recommend that rail users find alternative ways to travel this Sunday.
Only a small handful of trains will be running on Sunday, and those that absolutely need to travel are being asked to allow for extra time.
Bikes won’t be allowed on trains during these services, so plan accordingly.
Customer Service Director for TPE Kathryn O’Brien said: “We are frustrated that action by RMT continues to disrupt people’s journeys at the weekend.
“With another strike planned for this Sunday, we are calling on our customers to plan ahead and follow the guidance provided.”
More information on the limited service TPE is intending to operate this Sunday can be found at tpexpress.co.uk/travel-updates/strike.
