The junior Scots team faced Germany in the finals and decimated them with a superb score of 7-1.
The gold medal winning Scottish team are skip James Craik, third Angus Bryce, Dumfries second Scott Hyslop, lead Niall Ryder of Stranraer, supported by Dumfries alternate Jack Carrick and coach Iain Watt.
The 2022 event was held from May 15 to 22 at the Jönköping Curling Club in Sweden.
The championships began with a round robin tournament, in which Scotland won eight games and lost a single game 6-7 to Canada.
During the semi-finals, Scotland faced off against Norway and won 7-5, before facing Germany and delivering a landslide victory.
After claiming the World Junior title, Scotland skip Craik said: “It feels pretty crazy right now, I don’t really believe it just now.
“I’m just so proud of the boys. They came out and shot the lights out there and played so well. That was one of our most clinical performances.
“Our week was perfect. I’m so over the moon. We had a great time here in Sweden, it was just fantastic.
“I couldn’t be prouder of the guys and all the team behind us and we’re just so thankful.”
