The area accolade from CAMRA was presented at the weekend by the organisation’s chairman Trevor Hayward.
The former coaching inn is one of CAMRA’s heritage pubs and the judges described it as “the very essence of a community pub”.
Meanwhile, the pub enjoyed a busy weekend for the Jubilee. Events included a pig racing night in aid of Annan Town Band followed by a cider festival featuring an oompah band and Sweet Craze.
