Star get off the mark

Liam Craig headed home at the back post from six yards out after a free kick from Steven Degnan.

Cowdenbeath failed to pose much of a threat in the remainder of the first half.

Following the start of the second half, it only took the Blue Brazil two minutes to equalise.

Adam Gilmartin got the goal after he got the break of the ball following a corner.

The point will certainly give Dalbeattie something to build on. The side now face tough back to back fixtures against the Old Firm colts sides with Rangers B visiting Islecroft this Saturday at 3 pm.

Three new additions have also been announced this week. Harry Emmerson has re-signed at Islecroft. Joining him are Liam Craig and goalkeeper Mason McCready who is on loan from Partick Thistle.
