A MYSTERY man from Dumfries and Galloway has won £112,168.30 on the National Lottery.

Known only as Mr G, he matched the five main numbers and one Lucky Star number in the EuroMillions draw on Tuesday December 6.

Announcing the good news, the Lottery team said he played a personal selection of birthday numbers via the National Lottery app, becoming one of over eight million players that win each week on The National Lottery’s range of games.

Those interactive winners have the opportunity to release their name, remain anonymous or like this winner, release some details through partial publicity.

Camelot’s Andy Carter, senior winners’ advisor, said: “What incredible news for Mr. G for winning this fantastic prize! We hope he makes some amazing memories with his windfall”

Thanks to National Lottery players, more than £30M is generated each week for National Lottery-funded projects.This money helps support everything from the local charity making a difference where you live through to helping athletes win medals at the Commonwealth Games. To date, over £46BN has been raised for National Lottery Good Causes, with more than 670,000 individual grants awarded.
