UPDATE: wanted man found

A CANONBIE man wanted by Cumbria Police has been found and arrested in Durham.

An appeal was released last week for Ross Neville, 32, after he failed to report to officers after having a jail sentence imposed for helping two fugitive murders.

Neville was last week sentenced to an immediate prison term of one year and ten months by Appeal Court judges under the Unduly Lenient Scheme.

He was originally given a non-custodial punishment when sentenced with two other people for their part in events following the death of Ryan Kirkpatrick in Carlisle.

Neville had been ordered to report to police in Carlisle at 6 pm last Tuesday night – but did not turn up.

Police today said he has been found in the Durham area.
