A BOX full of maggots has arrived in Moffat in time for the opening of a new exhibition this weekend.
The Ruxton Maggots have been couriered to the town’s museum from the Natural History Museum in London.
And they are now in situ as part of the ‘Moffat Ravine Murders – the Birth of Modern Forensics’ display, which tells the story of two gruesome murders in 1935 and the hugely significant forensic investigations that led to the conviction of Dr. Buck Ruxton.
The exhibition opens on Saturday and will run until October 28. Opening hours are Thursday to Monday 10.30 am to 4.30 pm and Sunday 1.30 pm to 4.30 pm.
