A GALLOWAY museum that attracts tourists from across the globe has been put up for sale.
The Creetown Gem Rock Museum near Newton Stewart has been put on the market as its current owners Tim and Carolyn Stephenson are planning to retire.
They turned what was a hobby and passion into a thriving business, which has been described as an ‘outstanding collection of minerals, crystals, fossils and gemstones with many rare examples from not just the UK but around the world.’
The award-winning museum’s premises has an office, exhibiting halls, an exhibition workshop, professor’s study, crystal cave, and a 70-cover tearoom. It also has a four-bedroom home and an impressive collection which will be included in the sale price.
