Friday
- Lockerbie: coronation coffee morning, Dryfesdale Hall, 10-11.30 am.
- Marchmount Bowling Club: members will be taking part in a red, white or bloue dress up bowls fun night.
- Waterbeck: a coronation concert will be staged in the church with local acts including the Border Strathspey Reel Society, starting at 7.30 pm.
- Springfield: beacon lighting at Stormont Hall, 8 pm. Piper and prosecco.
- Dalswinton: there is a coronation church service in the Barony Kirk at 6pm, followed by coffee and cake in the village hall.
Saturday
- Dumfries: the Farmers’ Market will have a Coronation selfie board and a touch of red, white and blue as a nod to the occasion.
- Heathhall: it’s the community centre’s big fun family day out, 12-4 pm, free entry. Music, games, magic, amusements, birds of prey, football freestyler and workshop for the kids, face painting, crafts and more. Bring a picnic.
- Annan: St Andrew’s Parish Church is having a big screen viewing of the coronation ceremony from 10 am. Tea served and crafts and colouring for children. Bring your own cushions and rugs.
- Springfield: there will be commemorative tree planting at the playing field at 3 pm with free ice cream for children and followed by a cream tea at Stormont Hall from 3.30 pm.
- Waterbeck: there will be a big screen in the village hall from 10.30 am, followed by afternoon tea and a bouncy castle until late.
- Moffat: it’s street party time in the Proudfoot Indoor Sports Club from 2 pm. Also, there will be a live screening of the coronation at the town hall, 10am – 2 pm, with refreshments, raffle and competitions. Organised by the Moffat branch of Legion Scotland.
- Ecclefechan: the Cressfield Hotel will be open from 10.30 am to live stream the royal event on the big screen. There will be coronation breakfast rolls, then a bbq at 1 pm and big coronation quiz at 2.30 pm.
- Longtown: head to the community centre for afternoon tea, live music, kids’ crafts and bouncy castle from 11 am, along with a big screen in the main hall.
- Kettleholm: it’s the Kettle-Home’s Royal Event from 12-3 pm with a disco, crafts and dressing up.
- Dumfries: coronation celebrations will run at Crichton Central from 10 am to 6pm and include a Royal Tea Party big screen viewings, children’s games and activities, BBQ and live music.
- Gretna Green: a free live screening event will kick off at 11 am at the conservatory at the Blacksmiths Foodcourt.
Sunday
- Creca: Creca SWI are celebrating their 95th anniversary and the King’s coronation between 11-4 in the village hall. There will be cookery and craft demos, games and refreshments.
- Dalbeattie: Colliston Park will host the coronation sundaze with a bar, music, amusements, horses and food. Plus, a duck race and civic queen crowning at 3 pm. 1-5 pm.
- Locharbriggs: get along to the community centre for an afternoon of music, song and dance, 2-4.30 pm, with a raffle and refreshments.
- Lochmaben: the children’s gala committee are organising a teddy bear coronation picnic at Whitehills football ground, 12-3 pm. There will be face painting and a bouncy castle.
- Corrie: it’s party time at the parish hall from 1.30 pm. A buffet lunch will be provided and a bouncy castle for the children.
- Brydekirk: there will be a ‘right royal knees up’ cream tea in the village hall from 2-4 pm, with scones and home baking.
- Applegarth: a church service will take place at 11.30 am, followed by a picnic on the church green from 12.30 pm for families and friends.
- Eastriggs: St John’s Church will be holding a community service at 11am, followed by a picnic. Everyone welcome, bring your own picnic.
- Clarencefield: there’s a village party at the hall, 12-3 pm.
- Castle Douglas: walking family treasure hunt. Organised by the Rotary Club, start and finish at the legion club at 1 pm.
- Wamphray: the community council are hosting an afternoon tea at the village hall from 2.30 pm. Bring your own drink.
- Annan: St Andrew’s Social Club in Standalane will have a coronation gala day from 1 pm, with tombola, bouncy castle, bottle stall, fire engine, merry go round, music, face painting, craft stalls and animal appearances. Also, it’s party time at Annan Athletic Football Club from 12.30-4pm, with music, a picnic and bouncy castle.
- Langholm: Eskdale Pony Club is hosting a celebration at the cricket club from 4 pm, featuring BBQ, bar, live music, bubble football and bouncy castle.
- Dumfries: coronation choral evensong will take place at St John’s Church at 6 pm, attended by Lord Lieutenant Fiona Armstrong.
- Creetown: everyone’s invited to a picnic lunch at 12 noon at the Quarrymen’s Art Centre, featuring music from Creetown Silver Band then tea and cakes.
- Wigtown: it’s a coronation weekend with family bingo and a ceilidh on the Saturday then a ‘big lunch’ and quiz on the Sunday and Royal Variety performance on the Monday.
- Glencaple: a beacon will be lit to mark the occasion at Glencaple Quay at 8 pm.
- Stranraer: Kirkcolm Hub will show the coronation concert in an event from 5-10 pm with bar and mementoes.
- Dalswinton House: coronation picnic from 12 noon with music. Gardens also open.
