A box collecting money for Action Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy was taken at around 10.25 am from the Townhead Filling Station in Townhead Street.
Police want to trace two women who were in the premises when the box was taken, and who left shortly after in a black coloured Ford Galaxy car.
The first woman is described as being in her early 20s, about 5’5″ tall, of large build with dark brown hair which was in a pony tail. She was wearing a pink coloured vest top, with a white cardigan and black leggings.
The second woman was in her late 40s, about 5’6″ tall, also with dark brown hair in a pony tail and she was wearing a green coloured blouse and black leggings.
There is no indication as to how much was in the box when stolen.
