Moffat Manor Holiday Park’s new club house, containing a bar, restaurant and children’s play area, will officially open tomorrow.
The formerly bankrupt 81 acre park, taken over by Richmond Wight Estates earlier in the year, has been subject to thousands of pounds’ worth of investment with new signage in place, extensive landscaping including the construction of new walls, and the arrival of a hire fleet of holiday homes in association with Hoseasons.
A new shop and reception on site recently opened near the entrance to the park. This can be used by everyone, not just those holidaying on the park.
A new tourist information building is also nearly completed. Overall, Richmond Wight is injecting £1.5 million into the park to try to obtain a five star rating.
Planning permission will also be sought for a new leisure centre, including swimming pool, fitness centre and cafe bar.
This will be created from a building to the rear of the park.
Park Manager Sally Deveril said: “We are looking forward to the open weekend and can’t wait to show off the new clubhouse which is looking fantastic.
“We are hoping for a good turnout from the local area. “We are also delighted with our new shop and reception which was completed a few weeks ago.
“Feedback from owners, locals and holiday visitors alike has been positive.
“We have 13 new owners on the park now and are striding ahead with both the sale of holiday lodges and the short break letting market with Hoseasons, who are a fantastic name for us to be working with.”
She added: “We have already created six new jobs at Moffat Manor in both sales and ground works and we will now be looking for bar and waitressing staff for the new clubhouse.”
