Man dead after A75 crash in Dumfries

A MAN has died following a two vehicle crash on the A75 in Dumfries.

The collision happened on the A75 near Dalscone roundabout around 11.30 am on Sunday, March 3, involving a white Ford Fiesta and a blue Vauxhall Corsa.
The 29-year-old male driver of the Ford Fiesta was pronounced dead at the scene. His next of kin have been informed.
And the 67-year-old female driver of the Vauxhall Corsa was unhurt.
The road was closed until 3 am on this morning, Monday, March 4.
Road policing officers are now appealing for more information.
Police Sergeant David Kerr said: “Our inquiries are continuing to understand the full circumstances of what happened. Our thoughts are with the family and friends of the man who died.
“I would ask anyone who may have witnessed the crash, or who may have dash-cam footage, and has not yet spoken to or provided this information to officers, to contact us as soon as possible.
“I want to thank members of the public for their patience while we investigated this serious collision.”
