What's for dinner?

SPAGHETTI Bolognese, chilli con carne, tikka masala and fajitas are now staple meals in Scottish homes.

Researchers have found that Scots young and old are shunning British classics and now eat dinner from up to six countries during the week, including Mexico, Italy and India.
And the top ten of favorites includes lasagne, tortillas, sweet and sour chicken, pesto and pasta and stir fries.
Thai curries and enchilladas are other popular choices.
In fact, a Sunday roast is sometimes the only traditional dish of the week.
Bhavika Thakrar, of Santa Maria who commissioned the study, said: “This tells us that the discovery of new tastes and flavours from around the world is a priority when it comes to Britain’s taste buds.
“Food lovers are relishing the opportunity to take more culinary journeys without leaving the kitchen.
“It’s an exciting time for the nation’s palate.”
