B&B shortlisted for tourism award

A MOFFAT B and B is a finalist for a prestigious tourism award for the third year running.

Queensberry House has been shortlisted for Best B and B Experience in VisitScotland’s Scottish Thistle Awards, a celebration of Scottish tourism’s finest.

The business won a Thistle award in 2022/23 for the West of Scotland category, which includes Glasgow and Arran, and was also a finalist in the inaugural 2023 South of Scotland category.

The South of Scotland Destination Alliance said the finalists in this category ‘go above and beyond to make sure visitors have a fantastic memorable experience’.

Caroline Egan, co-owner of Queensberry House, said: “It’s wonderful to be recognised once again in this category. We are so proud to represent Moffat and the South of Scotland during this exciting time in tourism.”

Miles Hargreaves, fellow co-owner, added: “What an honour to be a part of this celebration of Scottish tourism, a sector which is getting stronger and stronger each year. I wish we could take all our lovely guests with us to the awards ceremony.”
