LOCKERBIE’S famous sheep statues are in line for a wash.
Annandale North Councillor Gail Macgregor revealed that they have been added to the local authority’s list for attention.
And she praised a local individual for offering his services, saying: “A young lad has been in touch offering to pressure wash the sheep.
“He has shown a bit of initiative and community spirit, so I have contacted the council to see what’s possible. I do not know what their cleaning regime is.
“If people volunteer to do things like this we should be trying to encourage it. I am waiting to see what they come back with.”
