ANNAN Athletic and Queen of the South will both be looking to bounce back from losses when they meet for the second Dumfries and Galloway derby of he season this afternoon.
The Galabankies lost 1-0 to Inverness – who have now entered administration and have been docked 15 points – whilst the Doonhamers were downed 2-0 away to Cove Rangers.
And the derby will be shown live on BBC Alba today with a later kick-off of 5.30 pm.
The match will see the Galabank return of former manager Peter Murphy who left the club to join their rivals during the summer.
It has been a struggle for Queens away from home this season. They haven’t scored a single goal in five away outings and have only picked up two points.
They will be boosted with the return of ex-Annan skipper Matty Douglas after serving a one-match suspension. And Brennan Dickenson could feature after he played in a Queens’ reserves tie during the week.
Meanwhile, Annan will hope to have striker Tommy Goss back for the derby. The towering forward has been battling injuries this season.
