Can Queens end TV hoodoo?

QUEEN of the South look to end an incredible 17 match hoodoo this weekend against Alloa.

Peter Murphy’s men take on the Wasps live on BBC Alba on Saturday night with a 5.30 pm kick off.

The Doonhamers have not won a televised league game since they thumped Rangers 3-0 in February 2015.

Since then, Queens have lost 13 matches and drawn four on live telly. However, Queens did pick up cup victories on the box. The most recent was their 1-0 Challenge Cup victory over Cove Rangers three years ago.

Murphy revealed key midfielder Reece Lyon (pictured above) is doubtful for the Alloa match whilst Harry Cochrane, Jack Brydon, Jack Hannah and Ross Stewart all have niggles but should be good to go for Saturday.
