Paddy's on his way!

TODAY’S the day that funnyman DJ Paddy McGuiness arrives in the region.

He is tackling a 300 mile cycle ride on a chopper bike to raise funds for BBC Children in Need and the route will bring him through Annandale this evening.

Coming from Carlisle, comedian and Radio 2 presenter Paddy will initially hit Gretna on the service road and will then make his way to Ecclefechan and today’s finish line at Hoddom Primary School, where parents, pupils and staff will be waiting to give him a warm welcome.

His estimated arrival time in the village is about 8 pm but fans are warned, depending on the weather and traffic, it could be anytime between 7 pm and 10 pm.
