AN extra night of work on the A7 near of Langholm will take place next month.
It’s scheduled from 7.30 pm to 6 am on Tuesday December 3.
And it’s required to complete road marking improvement works that were previously delayed due to wet weather.
As before, a diversion route will be in place for traffic between Hawick and Canonbie. This will add approximately 7.7 miles and 20 minutes to affected journeys.
BEAR Scotland’s South East network manager Tommy Deans said: “These new road markings will enhance safety for users of the A7. Unfortunately, due to the nature of the work being done, we have no option but to close the road while these improvements are completed.
“We’re grateful to motorists and local communities for their understanding. “
All work is weather dependent and subject to postponement or cancellation in the event of adverse conditions.
