Xmas hamper chance

THE team at Specsavers in Stranraer have launched an in-store Christmas hamper competition to raise money to provide gifts for children and young people in the community.

All funds raised through raffle tickets for the Christmas hamper will be used by the George Street store to buy gifts for community charity Galloway Action Team, who will share them with children who may not receive a gift this Christmas.

The hamper up for grabs contains a variety of festive treats including chocolates, preserves and vouchers for local businesses such as the Graze Thyme Café and beautician La Ruelle.

Customers can buy tickets for the next few weeks and the winner will be revealed on Wednesday December 11.

Elaine Hawthorn, director at Specsavers in Stranraer, says: “With our annual in-store Christmas competition, our team is hoping to support the fantastic work of Galloway Action Team, helping to make a vital difference to someone’s life this Christmas.

“We urge customers to purchase a raffle ticket when visiting the store to, not only have the chance to win some fantastic goodies, but to also allow us to spread even more festive cheer this year to children and families in need.”
