HUNDREDS of people flocked to Annan High Street on Saturday for the town’s Christmas lights switch on

Organised by the Annan Christmas Lights Committee, there was a full day of events which included fun for the whole family.

And shortly after 5 pm the festive season officially got underway as young citizen of the year Tierney Garner had the honour of switching the lights on.

Meanwhile, there was a funfair, a craft fair, an opportunity to meet the Galapanda, balloon modelling, photography, Santa’s grotto, face painting, meet the donkeys, live music and entertainment from South West of Scotland Piping and Drumming Academy, Highland Hustle with Charley, Caroline Sharkey, Annan Town Band, The Magic Juggler and Kingdom of Creatures, refreshments and a lantern parade.
