ANNAN Harbour Action Group’s annual solstice walk takes place this Sunday.
The torchlit procession runs along a route from Barnkirk Point, a 15 minute walk from Newbie, back to the harbour.
There will be a bonfire at Barnkirk Point before embarking on the walk back with accompanying music from the Solway Pipers.
Upon returning to the harbour, those taking part will be able to enjoy refreshments, another bonfire, and festive music and carols from Spectrum.
During the afternoon there will also be a forging workshop hosted by Nate Robinson and Annan History Town where people will be able to forge their own pieces to go on the planned art centrepiece.
Traditional leather making techniques will also be shared at the session.
Ben Jones, a traditional Viking leather worker, will be joining the forging workshop. He will be demonstrating traditional leather-making techniques and crafting the cover for a Forging Book, which will record the incredible pieces created by the community and their stories.
