Last weekend the Raydale side suffered a 5-0 hammering in Coatbridge against Albion Rovers.
Dom McMahon opened the scoring for the hosts before former Gretna loan man Peter Mendy added a second.
In the second half Kai Kirkpatrick, Nathan Brown and Adam McMillan got one each to make it five without reply.
Unbeaten in their last four, Somerville reckons the result is just a blip and the team will be ready to go again this weekend.
Speaking after the defeat, he said: “It’s a really sore one, the boys are hurting in there. In fairness, Albion Rovers were excellent. I thought their tempo and intensity throughout the game was good.
“I thought probably for the first time, in the games we’ve played this year, we didn’t get to that level of intensity. That was the difference in the game.
“In most areas of the pitch I thought Albion Rovers just outworked us today. Maybe the two games earlier had taken a bit too much out of us.
“The guys have all acknowledged that we weren’t good enough today.”
Somerville added: “We’ll do our homework on Gala, we need to perform better than (we did against Albion).
“Hopefully we’ll get a reaction. I’m pretty convinced we will.”
