A SPECIAL demonstration on electric vehicles was given to pupils at Lochmaben Primary.
Dumfries and Galloway College lecturer Shaun McEwan recently visited the school to talk to Primary 1 and 2 pupils.
His visit, which combined learning and fun, featured a dynamic presentation and a hands-on display of electric vehicles (EVs). Shaun’s interactive session introduced the pupils to the exciting world of EVs, showcasing how the innovative technologies are shaping the future of transport.
The demonstration included an up-close look at EV components and a discussion about their environmental benefits, helping the children understand how advancements in technology can create a cleaner, more sustainable world.
The visit is part of the college’s ongoing commitment to community engagement and inspiring the next generation of learners.
Shaun said: “It was a fantastic opportunity to share the wonders of electric vehicles with such an eager and curious audience. The pupils at Lochmaben Primary School were full of questions and excitement, and it was great to see their enthusiasm for learning about sustainable technology.
“I hope the session inspired them to think about the positive impact they can have on the environment and maybe even consider a future in STEM fields.”
