AN 83-year-old man who died following a crash on the A75 near Gretna has been named as Jackson Pringle.
The incident happened around 11.10 am on Monday, December 16 on the A75 junction with the B721 at Gretna.
The crash involved a black Peugeot 3008 and a white Ford Transit van.
Emergency services attended, and Mr Pringle, who was driving the Peugeot, and a 77-year-old man were taken to hospital with serious injuries. Mr Pringle died at the Royal Victoria Infirmary on Tuesday December 17.
Three other men, aged 77, 60 and 31, were also taken to hospital as a precaution.
Sergeant Colin Ramage said: “Our thoughts remain with Mr Pringle’s family and friends at this very difficult time.
“Our enquiries are ongoing, and we are appealing to anyone who witnessed the crash to get in touch with us.
“In particular, if you were driving in the area at the time, please check your dash-cam footage to see if you captured anything that could assist our investigation.”
