AN immersive interpretation of a Burns Supper is sure to make a splash in Dumfries at the end of the month.
For it will be held underwater at DG One.
Described as “one of the most unique and immersive celebrations of Scottish tradition ever”, it will see participants literally taking the plunge to complete a series of challenges set to a specially curated mixtape made right here in the region by special guests.
The organisers at the Big Burns Supper launched their event this week, with a promise it will be a dining experience like no other.
Executive producer Graham Main said: “We are excited to bring something so original and daring to Big Burns Supper. The Underwater Burns Supper really reflects the festival’s spirit of curiosity and fun while honouring Scotland’s national poet in a way he would surely have enjoyed—by breaking all the rules!”
The show is for 16+ only and audience members must be strong swimmers, and able to complete laps of an indoor swimming pool. Full safety guidance will be given.
It will take place at the leisure centre on dates between January 23-25.
