Appeal to city footy fans

POLICE are trying to reach any footy fans from this region who were at a match in Carlisle at the weekend.

Officers in Cumbria are appealing for witnesses as part of an ongoing investigating into reported tragedy chanting at the Carlisle United vs Bradford City on Saturday.

The chanting is reported to have occurred in the first half, near to the segregation line between Carlisle and Bradford supporters in the Andrew Jenkins Stand at Brunton Park.

Four males were arrested on Saturday in connection with this incident. All four, from Cumbria, were subsequently bailed pending further enquiries.
