AN item with links to the Lockerbie disaster has been handled by the Repair Shop On Tour team.
Bookbinder Chris Shaw was called upon to make a new album to protect and preserve precious photos from 1988, taken at the time by firefighter Roger Claymore.
They had been in his attic and were contained in a falling apart book.
So he asked the popular TV show for help in fixing that so they could go on public display in the remembrance room at Tundergarth Kirk.
And the newly created album was unveiled in an emotional episode which aired on Monday night and can still be seen on the BBC i-player.
In the programme, presenter Will Kirk said: “It’s a great responsibility but what a privilege to be asked to help to restore something for them and their community.
“I hope this will show visitors the bravery and community spirit of Lockerbie.”
A tearful Roger was delighted with the result and thanked everyone involved. He said: “It’s excellent. It does it proud.”
