Festival’s first line up revealed

GALLOWAY’S biggest music festival has announced its theme for 2025.

Knockengorroch Festival returns to the Galloway Forest Park from May 22 – 25, with this year’s theme being survival.

Knockengorroch, which has run for 27 years, is celebrating fresh and established outstanding roots and dance music from across the continents.

With the full line-up still to be announced, the organisers promise there will be top roots music from Scotland and the world as well as much loved dance music acts.

Initial acts include the Kinnaris Quintet; from the West of Ireland comes the alternative folk band Moxie; drum and bass and jungle stars Serial Killaz; and multi-instrumentalist husband and wife duo Omega Nebula.

Knockengorroch spokesperson Katch Holmes said: “Delighted at how our line-up is shaping up. For our first reveal we are inviting and showcasing some of the best roots and dance music from across the globe, with many more still to come as well as our workshops programme.

“Times are tough for live music and festivals, but so are we! Our theme of ‘survival’ reflects our determination to continue delivering incredible live music in a beautiful upland setting, to truly curious and diverse audiences.

“We believe our festival is the best kept secret on the planet, presenting an opportunity to hear international music and collaborations which you don’t get just anywhere.”
