Young Rohan aiming for Glasgow and West U18 spot

ANNAN U18 rugby star Rohan Cother was recently selected for the Glasgow and West U17 Regional Squad playing against Borders and East and Edinburgh on January 19 and 26 at the Oriam in Edinburgh.

The 16-year-old has been part of the Glasgow and West Regional Academy since selection from PDH trials in April 2023.

He trains twice a week at Ravenscraig Sports Centre, Motherwell, and four days a week at Scotstoun Stadium, Glasgow, during the summer.

Rohan was selected last year to play in the U16 Glasgow Warriors squad, fighting off tough competition from boys across Glasgow and the West and Caledonia.

He was signed as a Junior Scottish Academy Player in August and invited to attend National Front Five Training at the Hive Stadium in Edinburgh for four weeks before Christmas.

Rohan is an active member of Annan Rugby Club through their U18s squad and is a supporter of the senior men’s squads and Warriors, as well as helping coach primary groups, refereeing and is often found supporting fundraising events appearing as the club’s Tiger mascot.

He is currently training to secure a place in the Glasgow and West U18 squad next season.
