KEEN photographers are preparing to open an exhibition of their work in Dumfries this weekend.

The display by the talented members of Dumfries Camera Club will be at the Gracefield Arts Centre from Saturday, until March 29.

It’s the club’s annual exhibition and members are once again looking forward to showcasing their work to the public.

Visitors to the month-long event will also get the chance to vote for their favourite panel from those in gallery one.

Meanwhile, gallery two will host a selection of the photographs that helped the club secure first place in the Scottish Print Championship at Dunblane recently.

Dumfries Camera Club meets at the centre’s Studio 2 on Wednesday nights from the end of August to the beginning of May, with a range of speakers and judges.

A spokesperson said: “Our members range in photographic ability and we encourage new members to join us. Our new members this year are eager to learn and to develop new skills.

“In the summer groups gather to enjoy local events and visits to events farther afield. If you are interested in knowing more visit dumfriescameraclub.co.uk.”
