Depleted Ladies lose on the road

QUEEN of the South Ladies were missing quite a few regular players for their trip to Armadale on Sunday to take on Armadale Ladies.

With a rearranged formation, it was always going to be a tough game against a team sitting just one point from the top of the division.

But Queens certainly did not lack effort and work rate throughout the 90 minutes.

Armadale took the lead in the first minute and by half time were 3-0 ahead.

Queens steadied the ship in the second half but eventually Armadale got a fourth goal.

Hayley Crosbie pulled back a consolation goal for Queens late in the game.

Queens sit in fourth place going into the split, with five games to go until the end of the season.

There will be no easy games from here on in, and Queens have three of their remaining fixtures away from home.

However their final league placing will be an improvement on last season which is a testament to all the hard work put in at training.

This Sunday, Queens travel to Paisley to take on St Mirren.
