The event, which is held annually and organised by the Solway Car Club, has attracted a capacity entry of 90 cars for the senior event on the military ranges near Dundrennan tomorrow.
Reigning champion Mark McCulloch, of Newton Stewart, starts as top seed alongside co-driver Mairi Riddick ina Mitsubishi Evo IX.
The Hardie Engineering Subaru Impreza of 2012 winners David Hardie and John McCulloch, of Dumfries, start second, with Kirkgunzeon’s Rory Young and Allan Cathers third in the Scottish Christmas Trees Ford Fiesta R5.
Following them will be son and father duo Gary and Gordon Adam in a Ford Escort Mk II, while four times winner Ian Paterson, of Mouswald, and Helen Brown round off the top five in a Subaru Impreza.
Other local competitors include Collin’s Lee Hastings and Julie McGuire and Stuart and Allan Paterson, also of Collin, in Subaru Imprezas, while Peter Stewart, of Dumfries, will be in action in his Ford Fiesta R2 with novice co-driver Paula McGuire.
Meanwhile, Willie and Craig Nelson, of Dumfries, will contest the 45-mile stages in a Subaru Impreza, while Niall Cowan Jnr and Paul Gribbem, also of Dumfries, are in a MG ZR and Gary and Lynn Parker, of Annan, line up in a Vauxhall Nova.
Organisers have also made provisions for spectators with spectator points at every special stage.
