AN ANNANDALE teenager has gone on trial accused of sexually assaulting his two stepsisters.

The 17-year-old, who can’t be named for legal reasons, denies raping one and sexually assaulting the other over a three-year-period.
Prosecutors claim the teenager, who now lives in this region, committed the offences at a house in East Ayrshire.
He denies raping the younger of the sisters, who is now 13, numerous times between January 2011 and February 2014.
The indictment against him alleges that, on numerous occasions between those dates, he pressed his body against her, touched her private parts under her clothing and made her touch his penis and perform sex acts on him.
He is also said to have rubbed against her private parts, touched her inappropriately and raped her.
He also faces a second charge that, between August 2012 and February last year, he sexually assaulted the older of the girls, who is now 18, on various occasions.
He denies touching her thigh, making comments of a sexual nature to her and showing her pictures of females.
The teenager went on trial at the High Court in Paisley on Monday, before judge Lord Matthews.
The younger of the girls was the first to give evidence against him.
She sobbed as she told the jury what she claims happened to her in the property in Ayrshire.
She had to ask for several breaks to compose herself during her evidence, telling the jury she was abused in the double bed in his bedroom in the house.
The jury was told that her stepbrother often had condoms but she did not know what they were at the time.
She said she did not know where he got the condoms from or where he kept them.
And she said the attacks she claims he committed became less frequent after he got a girlfriend.
When asked of the effect of him becoming romantically involved with a young woman had on his behaviour towards her, she said: “It wasn’t as much.”
She said she was mainly abused in his room because it was too noisy in her room and she also said she was abused in a single bed, bunk beds and on a double bed and said that the abuse, which she described as painful, involved him touching her with his private parts.
The accused maintains his innocence and the trial continues.
