Police plea after 'unique' bike theft

A UNIQUELY built cycle-cross bicycle worth £800 has been stolen from a shed in Dumfries.

The grey bike, which has the word Genesis written across the frame, was taken from Lockhard’s Farm in Lockerbie road sometime between last Thursday and Sunday.

Constable Fiona Sword, of Police Scotland at Dumfries, said: “There is not another bike like this anywhere as it was built using parts from other bikes.  Anyone who may have seen this bike being taken, or who may know who took it is asked to contact us through the 101 number.”
