Early last Thursday morning thieves made off with nine tonnes of Kellogg’s breakfast bars from Lockerbie Lorry Park.
Police revealed today that the trailer containing the breakfast goodies was discovered at an industrial estate in Mold, North Wales, on Saturday.
However the load of cereal bars was missing from the trailer.
Detective Constable Martin Lumsden at Dumfries CID said: “We now know that the trailer was taken south and our enquiries are continuing.
“We are still keen to hear from anyone who may have seen this trailer going south in the early hours of Thursday to get in touch through 101 if possible.”
