The distinctive dark curved bottles contain ‘Rascally Liquor’ new-make malt and peaty malt spirit produced at the facility near Annan.
Springetts Brand Design Consultants, who created the bottles for the distillery owners, Professor David Thomson and his wife Teresa Church, have won the much sought after Red Dot Award.
The black Tam o’ Shanter-inspired branding, depict scenes from the colourful Robert Burns poem of that name.
It was one of 569 out of around 7,500 contenders awarded a Red Dot by an international jury, which was looking for outstanding creative achievement.
London-based Springetts, established for 30 years, work for brands around the world.
Annandale Distillery spokeswoman Linny Oliphant said: “We are delighted that our Rascally Liquor brand design has won this prestigious award.
“We have recently seen a surge in international visitors, the majority of whom choose to not only buy bottles of Rascally Liquor, but also the distinctive Rascally Liquor
T-shirt.”
She added: “With the first anniversary of the resumption of production at Annandale Distillery approaching, we can promise a very exciting upcoming Rascally Liquor exhibition in our Kiln Gallery.”
The Annan-made ‘Rascally Liquor’ branding will be on display in Germany next month.
It will be at the Red Dot awards ceremony in the Konzerthaus in Berlin on November 6.
