A total of 17 rinks across Scotland hosted the Alan Steel Asset Management (ASAM) 2015 Indoor Grand Match (IGM) on Saturday, with 36 teams playing in Dumfries Ice Bowl.
The south side beat the north 2154 to 1928 shots after the full day of competition.
At Murrayfield, IGM HQ, the artillery unit at Redford Barracks signalled the start of play by firing Edinburgh Castle’s one o’clock gun from the venue’s car park.
The final session saw the South secure the Indoor Grand Match title for the fourth time in a row since the event’s inception in the year 2000, with a margin of 226 shots.
Chairman of the local organising committee Graham Sloan said: “It was great to see teams from all over Scotland sharing in the traditions of our game.
“The atmosphere was tremendous and the day was one I will remember for a long time.
“I would like to thank all those who helped out on the day to make it such a success. It was a real team effort and great to see the South retain the trophy.”
