Roll up, roll up for Big Burns fun

A CARNIVAL mood hit Dumfries today for the launch of the next Big Burns Supper Festival programme.

And headline acts will include Eddi Reader, Jason Byrne, The Beat and Black Grape.

The 2016 event, which kicks off on January 22, will also have a strong emphasis on children’s entertainment with the arrival of Celtic Circus, a Spiegeltent show with acrobatic thrills and spills to delight a younger audience.

The Robbie Burns themed festival will last for nine days and will also feature a street carnival around Dumfries on Sunday January 24.
