A PURSE containing cash, credit cards and personal papers was stolen during a Christmas break-in at a pensioner's house in Dumfries.

The property at Averill Crescent was broken into sometime overnight Wednesday 23 to Thursday 24 December while the elderly occupant was sleeping.
Constable Stephanie Brown said: “This was a despicable break-in at Christmas time to the home of an elderly lady while she was sleeping.
“We want to hear from anyone if they saw or heard anything suspicious overnight Wednesday/Thursday in the Averill Crescent area.”
