A DUMRIESSHIRE business has won an award for their Christmas trees.

The Scottish Christmas Trees firm, based at Kirkgunzeon, was honoured at the British Christmas Tree Growers Association, winning the Best Living Container Grown Tree in the UK 2016 prize.
The company’s Rory Young, pictured right, picked up the award from Welsh Secretary Alun Cairns at the event in South Wales.
He said: “All the staff at Scottish Christmas Trees work hard all year round to produce a quality product in a sustainable, environmentally-friendly fashion.”
Scottish Christmas Trees has been growing container grown and cut Christmas trees since 1999. Each year they send out thousands of trees nationwide and also sell direct from the farm gate
